How to make a gasket

*the gasket I will be making is the carb to manifold gasket

First cut a piece of cardboard just a little bit bigger than the manifold.

The place the cardboard on the carb and tap round the edges with a screwdriver handles. Be careful not to damage the carb in doing this. You will end up with something like this.

Then once you have the template join any circles you have together, I ended up with two because it is a two stage progressive carb.

Then cut the areas you don’t need out.

Check that it fits ok.

Fit it to the manifold, I used a gasket sealer to make sure that there were no air leaks.
